SNELL TO POLKOWICE
CCC Polkowice made it to the EuroLeague Women Second Round before falling to eventual champions Ros Casares, and the team then reached the Polish title series before losing to Wisla Can-Pack Krakow.
Rest assured, you haven't seen the last of Polkowice in the big games.
The club is hard at work putting together a squad that will be very competitive in 2012-13.
Belinda Snell, an Australia international and EuroLeague Women winner with Perfumerias Avenida in the 2010-11 season, has signed for the club.
"This player guarantees a high level of play," said Krzysztof Korsak, the Polkowice club president.
Sharnee Zoll, meanwhile, is recovering from a knee injury that she picked up at the end of the season and according to the club, won't be available for Polkowice until January at the earliest.
"Everything depends on how well her rehabilitation goes," Korsak said.
Zoll, the team's point guard, averaged 12 points and 6.6 assists per game in 2011-12 for Polkowice.
MORRISON PENS RIVAS DEAL
Ziomara Morrison, a Chile international, has joined EuroLeague Women 2011/12 runners-up Rivas Ecopolis.
The 23-year-old averaged 14.3 points and 10.6 rebounds per game last season for Burgos in the Spanish second division.
Morrison is now playing in the WNBA with the San Antonio Silver Stars.
